1st CHRISTMAS @ FARM

All I want for Christmas is FUEL…
All I got was RAIN… For a while it looked like Christmas was going pass us by here @ Sitatunga. There were lots of stuff to be sorted out, in Lusaka, and Livingstone, and time just went too quickly. Told the kids that Santa was busy in Norway where all the kids had been good, and where it was a proper white Christmas… But at the last minute Santa actually took time out of his packed schedule to swing by the farm for a little visit.
Kids are happy.
Very happy...
The big Boss also got a visit from Santa.

2012 Happenings part 1

About time with a little update from Sitatunga. Been happening quite a bit this year. Most importantly; we have moved into the chalet, and it's now becoming a home! And the toilet is finished, or usable anyway!!! We have been painting inside and outside of the chalet. The red paint on the outside (and 2 walls on the inside) is called "African Adventure" - how appropriate ;)We also tried to mix some paint ourselves, not a good idea, and now there is a pastor with a pink house in Monze... Just on the main road out of town, going south! The chalet has been furnished with beds and shelves, and desks and stuff. The stuff was just moved from Lusaka as the Sinyama family migrated to South Africa for 2 years! So now the farm is officially our home in Zambia. The chalet is in other words fully livable, well, appart from being no electricity, no glass windows (just gauze and burglar bars), no popper floor or running water, but hey, that is all too much luxury for village life in Zambia. Or at least at this stage in out building process. Photos are coming, just have to figure out how to do that with the new compose layout here at blogspot... Also someone left her camera somewhere in the chalet while packing up to go back to Norway in May, so photos are limited at this stage...

BUILDING of TOILET

The digging is harded than expected - at least there isn't too much water yet.

The septic tank is coming together.

Nkomesha is mixing cement.

Inside the tank.

Yeah, me might have to rebuild this...
